Guidelines for the Transfer of Current Employees and the Hire of External Candidates into Posted Positions
Separate Legacy UMDNJ and Legacy Rutgers processes for the hire of employees and for the transfer of employees that were in effect before Day 1, continue as of July 1, 2013. The slight changes due to the need to transfer employees from the Banner System to the PeopleSoft System or from the PeopleSoft System to the Banner System will be coordinated and completed by central staff.
In concert with the recent announcement regarding revisions to Policy 60.3.14 related to Overtime (OT) and Compensatory Time (CT), RIAS, Payroll and UHR are pleased to announce system enhancements to support the policy changes.
Starting July 1, 2013, Departments should use RIAS to systematically record and track OT requests and approvals, review CT accrual and use by individual employees or at a department level, and monitor potential payout amounts if CT is not used and will be paid out as OT at the end of the fiscal year.
As a result of the integration, effective 7/1/13, Karla Marie Anderson has been appointed Acting Manager of the Human Capital Management Unit (HCM). Karla Anderson will remain as the primary HCM Specialist for her client group and Elizabeth Matusiak will be assisting. Clients may call either Karla Anderson or Elizabeth Matusiak for assistance. Annette Riser is assigned to Terminations, Leaves, and Return from Leaves replacing Elizabeth Matusiak. Please see the updated HCM Specialist Assignments below.
